As a Filmmaker

Why
I tell stories

I’ve always loved creating stories about women. Growing up, I rarely saw women like me represented in films or on television. As an independent woman, I felt compelled to write stories that reflect the strength, complexity, and individuality of women like myself.

After being fired for wearing her natural hair, Ayanna, a skilled IT pro, reluctantly turns to a quirky job site called Urban Uptake. But what starts as a last resort spirals into a surreal journey through a digital world built for women like her: bold, defiant, and unapologetically themselves.

Rachel's Reason

Rachel invites her sisters, Rebecca and Rochelle, over for a night of games and nostalgic laughter, reminiscing about childhood memories and grown-up moments. But as the evening unfolds, a hidden truth about Rachel comes to light, turning a playful night into something far more revealing. What begins as fun becomes Rachel’s Reason.

Rachel and Michelle have been friends for years. One evening, as they reminisce about their college days, an unexpected revelation from Rachel changes everything.
